This Privacy Policy explains how Shelfify (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile app and related services (the “Service”).

2) Information we collect

  • Account and profile data (optional): name, email, sign-in method, and preferences.
  • Inventory content you add: item names, categories (Room / Shelf / Sub-shelf), notes/descriptions, tags, and other details you enter.
  • Photos and media (optional): images you upload or capture for items/locations.
  • Device data (local only): Basic device information may be used internally by the app for proper functionality. This information is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Location data (optional): only if you enable a feature that needs it (e.g., nearby storage suggestions). Otherwise, we do not collect precise location by default.
Local-Only Storage: Shelfify is a local-first application. All inventory data, photos, and settings are stored only on your device using local storage and a local database. We do not upload, sync, or store your personal data on external servers.

3) Permissions we may request

  • Camera — to take photos for your items.
  • Photos/Storage — to upload/select images.

You can manage permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without certain permissions.

4) How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service (e.g., organize and display your inventory).
  • Improve reliability and performance (e.g., fix bugs, analyze crashes).
  • Provide support and respond to inquiries.
  • Communicate important updates (e.g., changes to terms or features).
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

5) Legal bases (if applicable)

Depending on your region, we may process your data under legal bases such as consent, contract necessity, legitimate interests, and legal obligations.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

Since Shelfify stores data only on your device and does not use external servers, your information remains under your control at all times.

7) Third-party services

Shelfify uses third-party services to improve the app experience and support advertising. These services may collect certain information automatically.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the app, improve features, and enhance performance. Google Analytics may collect:

  • Device information (model, OS version)
  • App usage statistics
  • Crash and performance data
  • Approximate location (based on IP or device settings)

Google Ads (AdMob)

Shelfify displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process the following information:

9) Data retention

Since Shelfify stores data locally on your device, your information remains until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Uninstalling the app will permanently remove all locally stored data.

10) Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Withdraw consent (where applicable).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request data portability.

11) Children’s privacy

Shelfify is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

All inventory data created within the app is stored locally on the user's device and is not transmitted to our servers.

The app uses third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google AdMob, which may collect limited device information for analytics and advertising purposes. These services operate under their own privacy policies.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information may contact us at support@pleasantplus.com.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may notify you in-app.
